Day 6! Today we introduce LaurieAnn Norwood!

"With over 16 years of experience, I’m honored to support all families, including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, single parents, and beyond with compassionate, inclusive care. I reside in Hartwick, attending births at Bassett’s Birthing Center in Cooperstown, and providing childbirth education and postpartum support throughout Otsego County and neighboring areas.

As a Doula, I offer emotional, physical, and informational support through pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. I lead with compassion and leverage my mind, words, and hands to support birthing persons and their partners.

As a childbirth educator, I offer in-person and virtual classes that are warm, interactive, and personalized, helping parents feel confident, connected, and prepared. I meet each person where they are with nonjudgmental guidance and a calming presence.

My core values center around inclusivity - I believe every family deserves care that reflects their values, identity, and unique journey. All are truly welcome!"

LaurieAnn is a certified Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Childbirth Educator (Birth Beautifully & AAHCC). She sits on the Advisory Council for Opportunities for Otsego’s Building Healthy Families, and provides them with staff and community training and resources. LaurieAnn is also the co-founder and co-leader of Lactation Lounge, a free breast/chestfeeding support group that meets in Oneonta twice per month.
