Hello families!

It's so hard to believe it's July already. Summer is truly flying by! I hope everyone is having a wonderful vacation. I wanted to share a few photos of my summer so far! We have watched plenty of baseball, enjoyed some beautiful summer hikes, and took a trip to Cincinnati! Our Florida vacation isn't until the end of the month, and we cannot wait to be on the beach!

Over the last month in language arts, Mrs. Wenhart has been reading the story "Because of Winn Dixie." Today we were able to watch the movie and enjoy our winn dixie themed snacks! Ask your child what their favorite part of the story was and if they preferred the book or movie adaptation! 🐾

Oil spill experiment day! 🛢️

Over the last few weeks, students have been learning about the BP oil spill. Today, students were tasked with the challenge to "save" an animal from an oil spill. Students were given a variety of items to use to try and save their animal like coffee filters, string, a spoon, eye droppers, and more!

This experiment was very eye opening and proved to be a lot more difficult than we anticipated! This was such a meaningful learning experience for our students!

It was a little chilly but still a beautiful day for picnic in the park! 🧺☀️
