🚨 RECORDS WERE BROKEN TODAY IN STEAM CLASS! 🚨

Our young engineers put their building skills to the test as they explored structures, balance, and the importance of center of gravity. Through creativity, problem solving, and a little trial and error, they pushed the limits of what paper can do!

🏗️ Check out these record breaking Paper Scrappers! Who knew paper could reach such heights? Way to go, Blue Streak engineers! 💙❤️

🔧 4th GRADE ENGINEERS TO THE RESCUE! 🛠️

Our 4th graders took on a hands on engineering challenge in STEAM class this week!

After some of Mr. Pullen’s belongings ended up in a storm drain, our young engineers were given a mission: design and build tools that could retrieve the items without reaching into the drain.

Students explored how different attributes, materials, shapes, lengths, and designs could affect the success of their tools. They worked through the engineering design process, tested their ideas, made adjustments, and learned that sometimes the first design doesn’t work exactly as planned.

The goal wasn’t just to get the items back. It was about thinking like an engineer, solving a real world problem, collaborating with teammates, and improving a design based on what they learned.

And yes... they successfully rescued Mr. Pullen’s belongings! 😂

Big problems require creative thinkers, and our 4th graders were up for the challenge!

Calling ALL current 5th & 6th grade Lake Elementary students! 🚨

Do you love building, designing, solving problems, creating, competing, or figuring out how things work? Then Rock’EM Robotics might be the team for you!

🏆 Competitive robotics is more than just building a robot. Students will:
🔧 Design & build their own robots
💻 Learn coding & programming
🧠 Solve challenging engineering problems
🤝 Work as a team and communicate
⚙️ Test, fail, redesign, and improve
🏅 Compete against teams from across Ohio
🔥 Experience the excitement of tournament day!

We’re looking for students who are creative, curious, hardworking, coachable, and willing to think outside the box. You DON'T have to be a robotics expert—just bring your ideas, determination, and willingness to learn!

⚠️ SPOTS ARE LIMITED! Tryouts will be competitive, and cuts will be made.

Today, students engineered Scribble Bots that created their very own artwork using the power of VIBRATION! ⚡️

They designed, tested, adjusted, and watched their creations come to life! What a fun way to explore engineering, creativity, and problem-solving! 💡🔧
