What. A. Week. Here’s a quick recap of the many successes from the rehearsal week:
1) ALL of Part 1 of the show is on the field.
2) Many students already have Part 2 music memorized.
3) Soloists are CRUSHING IT with the extra challenging music.
4) Overall student punctuality, work ethic, attitude… all great!
5) We had a complete five-person band staff for this week’s camp. Special thanks to Faith Phelps (brass/visual), Trey Harmon (drumline), Colton Gillaspie (brass/visual), and Tracie Teague (Guard) for spending the week with us. I cannot overstate how tremendously helpful this is for our students.
6) The students battled some intense heat this week. When the week started to get tough, they got tougher and set a new standard for how we conduct ourselves as an ensemble.
7) Brand new storage building - thanks to Mr. Lindley for sorting that out for us. HUGE quality of life improvement.
8)Band families and community members went out of their way to keep the kids fed and hydrated. Our activity is not possible without your support and it is highly appreciated.
Enjoy these pictures, mostly of our fan-favorite “Frozen T-Shirt” activity.
Special thanks to David and Kassey Walker for providing meals today!
