LiDAR- The LiDAR will scan the surface and create a 3D point map that can be used to illustrate the topography on Venus

THERMOCOUPLE- The thermocouple measures temperature at various locations and altitudes

INERTIAL MEASUREMENT UNIT- The IMU measures the payload’s acceleration, orientation, and angular velocity

Our team brainstormed four science objectives which we then used 8 FOM’s(Figure Of Merit) given to us by UAH. Each FOM had a weight based on their importance to the mission and as a team we scored each objective based on those FOM’s.

For our fifth ACE event we did Fizzy Rockets.
This event took place on October 25th, 2023 at Hartselle High School.
Our audience was the 3rd and 4th grade gifted kids.
In this event we used medicine bottles, water, and alka-seltzer.
This created a chemical reaction in the bottle, building up pressure until it thrusted the bottles into the air.
This applies to rocketry and relates to carbon dioxide on Venus

For our third ACE event we did Puking Pumpkin.
This event was on October 25th, 2023 at Hartselle High School.
Our audience was the 3rd and 4th grade gifted kids.
In this event we placed hydrogen peroxide, KI, soap, and warm water into pumpkin.
This created elephant toothpaste that shot out of the pumpkin's face.
This reaction relates to the chemical harshness on Venus.
