From the cooperative creative minds building “houses” among the roots of a tree, to practicing volleyball and soccer, playing Beyblades, relaxing on the swings, or enjoying a friendly game on the playground, our students found so many ways to enjoy recess! ☀️
There’s something special about watching children use their imaginations, build friendships, and simply enjoy being together. What a wonderful way to make the most of a beautiful day! ❤️

Our studious students! Today we thank God for the start of a new school year, and for a wonderful first week of school! The students have done a great job this week getting back in the swing of things. We can already tell it is going to be a great year at East & West Catholic!

All hands on deck today as we made our final preparations for the beginning of the school year! 🙌
Our focus today was the Atrium, and we are so excited to share that Level II will now be available to our students! ✝️ This exciting addition meant extra preparation, organization, and rearranging to make room for new materials and works.
We are so grateful for everyone who helped prepare our Atrium and make this possible. We look forward to watching our students continue to grow in their love for Jesus through their work, prayer, and discovery. ❤️
This could only be possible because of the dedication, hard work, and love of our amazing teachers and staff. We are blessed to have people who pour so much of themselves into creating a beautiful place for our students to learn, grow, and encounter Jesus.
What a beautiful reminder that we are all so deeply loved by our Heavenly Father. ❤️ May we begin this school year with grateful hearts, knowing that He is with us every step of the way. ✝️

We had fun today joining in the Schuetzenfest celebration in Bow Valley. Working together as a school family is always a good time. Special thanks to our parents and students for their help with the float.
We also found, Mary, our secretary riding in royal fashion. We also had a chance to visit with our friend, Randy whom the students recognized from a presentation he gave at school this past year.
Lots of fun was had.

At East & West Catholic School, we are committed to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. As part of that commitment, we recently completed our Triennial Wellness Assessment, a review conducted every three years to evaluate how well our school is meeting the goals outlined in our Local Wellness Policy.
This assessment examines areas such as:
🍎 Nutrition education and healthy eating
🏃 Physical activity and physical education
😊 Social-emotional well-being
We are pleased to share that our assessment highlighted many strengths, including our integration of nutrition education across grade levels, daily opportunities for physical activity, our Friendzy program, and our continued focus on creating a faith-filled, supportive school community.
The assessment also helps us identify opportunities for growth as we continue striving to provide the best possible environment for our students to learn, grow, and thrive.
Thank you to our families, staff, parish members, and community partners who support student wellness each and every day. Together, we are helping our students learn about Jesus in their work, think like Jesus in their actions, and love and serve others as Jesus did.

What a year with AR! AR stands for Accelerated Reader, and our students read and read and read so many great books this year. Hopefully their love of reading grew as they went on many adventures through the books they read. Mrs. Schroeder presented awards for some great accomplishments today. Anyone up for some water fun? ☀️💦
God gave the perfect day for the 5th & 6th graders to enjoy some end-of-the-year time together — and what a fun day it was! From water activities to time spent laughing and making memories together, it was truly a wonderful day for everyone.
A special thank you to Sylvan and Leane for so generously sharing your space and materials with us. We are also incredibly grateful to the parents who helped with transportation, food, materials, and supervision throughout the day. Your support helped make this an unforgettable experience for these students.
What a blessing it was to spend the day together!
