Our Story
Designers turned entrepreneurs with a socially conscience mission are the creators behind NIRO; in existence since 2007. These two savvy entrepreneurs, Rondelynn Bell and Naimah Spann are known for their extensive knowledge and innovation in fashion, retail, youth programming, curriculum development, and entrepreneurship. After creating numerous collections, dressing the likes of many famous faces and conquering many roles in the field of fashion design, retail and entrepreneurship NI and RO decided to jump into the field of education to teach others what they knew. NIRO was inspired by Ni and Ro’s personal experiences as teenage mothers. Blessed with a wealth of artistic abilities and an immense desire to rehabilitate their income, these two resilient women decided to embark on their greatest mission yet—to curate a ground-breaking entrepreneurship program and curriculum that would guide individuals to replicate exactly what they did as teens; turn their creativity into a profitable career and/or business for life! These tools and experiences were influential in branding their now well-known NIRO and PowerUP brand. NIRO was recently featured in Forbes Magazine , highlighted for creating a new generation of entrepreneurs and honored by the CT Women’ s Hall of Fame, for innovation, design and youth programming; NIRO has received many accolades and has dominated their current market. They have taught hundreds through the use of their revolutionary curriculum. Their innovative process has ignited individuals to achieve their goals throughout many diverse arts forms, inspiring them to soar professionally, creatively, and socially. Their cutting edge, hands-on socially conscience model has been implemented in several affluent public and private educational institutions, community based organizations, and social service agencies throughout New England. The NIRO community is one that empowers individuals to love themselves, embrace their differences, and to strive for the very best emotionally, academically, and spiritually!
