This morning CT alumni brothers attended a pre Thanksgiving Community Breakfast at the WestSide Food Truck Park hosted by Senator Chris Murphy. Special shout-out to Angel of Edgewood, Inc. for putting together the event and all the community partners that participated and supported.

‘Tis the season of giving….but when you are a Lambda, giving back to your community is an all year event. Brother Carlos Rosario (University of Connecticut Alumnus) recently delivered over 200 toys that were distributed to children in the Greater Hartford area. Additionally, over 300 coats, jackets and other clothing items were collected and donated. Thank you to all of those who donated, especially the D.D.H. Hope Foundation for their generous contribution of toys that were collected.

Brother Eddie Miranda (Central Connecticut State University Alumnus) was recently appointed to lead the newly formed task force at Capital Community College (CCC) in collaboration with the City of Hartford’s Re-Entry Welcome Center. This task force will be focused on education and training leading to sustainable employment for formerly incarcerated individuals as they re-enter the community. Keep up the good work Brother!
