The CAP Flying Association is one of Connecticut's oldest flying clubs (founded 1946) and based at Hartford-Brainard Airport (KHFD).

The CAP Flying Association is one of Connecticut's oldest and most affordable ways to be fractional owner of 2 great aircraft. We are based at Hartford-Brainard Airport ( KHFD ) and currently operate a very well-equipped and meticulously maintained Cessna 172M ( N12766 ) and a Piper Archer ( N33121 ), fully IFR with a great paint schemes, interiors, and avionics packages (full ADSB, Garmin G5 elec

Never had a dead stick landing. Once experienced an engine out at 850agl. Restarted and flew on (always sump after refueling).

How did you get into flying? My father was a fighter pilot (and member of the Mach 2 club, pilots who have flown twice the speed of sound). Took me up in a Cherokee when I was six. Been loving aviation ever since.
