Today, our 3rd grade engineers applied what they are learning about forces to investigate patterns in motion. They built ramps for cars, tunnels for marbles, and measured distances covered using wind-up toys. The best part was the creativity they displayed while building ramps! So much learning, and fun was had today while exploring force and motion🚗🚙

🧫✨ GERMS, SCIENCE & SOME VERY COOL TECHNOLOGY! ✨🧫

Our Pre-K friends had some extra special visitors today! 💙 Our amazing school custodians stopped by to introduce themselves and teach us about something they know a whole lot about… GERMS! 🦠🧼

They brought science to life with a fun experiment that showed our little learners just how easily germs can spread and why washing our hands and keeping our spaces clean is SO important! The kids were completely hooked. 👀🔬

And the coolest part? We got to put some of our brand-new technology to work! 🎉 We used our new ViewSonic interactive boards, made possible through a grant from our local school board and Superintendent Mrs. Birdsong, to make the experiment BIG enough for everyone to see. We even used our new Hover Board to display the experiment up close so every child had a front-row seat! 🖥️🔍

There was a whole lot of learning packed into one visit: science + technology + community helpers + healthy habits! 💡🧪🧹

A HUGE thank you to our custodians for taking time out of their busy day to visit with us, teach our kiddos, and show them that keeping our school clean and safe is a pretty important job! 💙 We are so thankful for them and for the new technology that is helping us make learning even more interactive and exciting!

📚✨ Library classes are off to a GREAT start! ✨📚
Our younger students are having a blast with If You Ever Want to Bring a Circus to the Library, Don’t! by Elise Parsley🎪📖, along with singing a fun library song, Going to the Library! 🎶
Our upper grade students are getting acquainted with the library through The Library Dragon 🐉📚 and an exciting library scavenger hunt! 🔎
All of our students are also getting a library orientation with our wonderful librarian and learning how to make the most of their time in the library.
We’re looking forward to a year full of great books, fun learning, and lots of library adventures! ❤️📚
