For nearly two decades, AB has dedicated himself to advancing our mission of changing lives through education. His vision, passion, and unwavering commitment have helped build the HYS Knowledge Seekers movement, empowering hundreds of Scholars to pursue their dreams and creating opportunities that inspire generational change.
Through every challenge and every success, AB has led with purpose, championed the potential of every Scholar, and helped shape brighter futures for our community.

Hartford Youth Scholars was honored to welcome Trinity College President Dan Lugo, Ms. TinaMarie Lugo, and Hartford Youth Scholars board member and Trinity graduate Shakira Ramos Crespo to Saturday Academy this past weekend. President and Ms. Lugo shared their inspiring journeys as first-generation college students and encouraged Scholars to take full advantage of all that HYS offers through 10 years of academic enrichment and elevation, opportunity and access, wraparound support, and college completion. The visit was also a meaningful opportunity for HYS to express gratitude to Trinity College for its partnership and support since our founding. Go Bantams! Go HYS!
