Today our scholars practiced one of the most personal aspects of patient care, learning how to provide a bed bath with dignity, respect, and compassion. These moments teach more than clinical skills. This summer, this UConn molecular biology student is building hands-on patient care skills through our CNA program at Harriott Community Healthcare Academy. His goal is to strengthen his healthcare foundation while preparing for what’s next.

And one fun fact? 🍕 His favorite food is pizza!

This summer, 16 students chose to invest in themselves by earning their CNA certification at Harriott Community Healthcare Academy.

Among them are future CNAs, nurses, physicians, physician assistants, and dentists, each with a unique career path but a shared commitment to caring for others.

Every skill they learn and every lesson they gain is helping build the confidence, compassion, and clinical foundation they’ll carry throughout their healthcare careers.
