Learning how to respond when every second counts. ❤️‍🩹

Our HCHA scholars are getting hands-on with CPR, First Aid, and choking response, practicing what to do when someone needs help in an emergency.

It’s more than learning the steps. It’s building the confidence to act when it matters most.

Through his aunt’s mentorship, he learned about being a nurse aide and saw a future in healthcare for himself.

When the opportunity to train at HCHA came, he took it.

Different “whys” brought our scholars here. Access to opportunity gave them a place to start. Now, we get to watch what they do with it. 💚

Growing up in Jamaica, she learned about Mary Seacole and knew from a young age that healthcare was something she wanted to pursue.

Now she’s taking steps toward that dream while carrying that inspiration with her.

What a day, and what a community. 💚

Our graduates did the work, but they didn’t celebrate alone. Families, friends, educators, community leaders, and partners showed up to celebrate them and everything they’ve accomplished.

Seeing our graduates surrounded by so much support was a reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together. We’re opening doors to healthcare careers, creating new opportunities, and helping change lives. 🎓🩺
