WINDSOR WITCH WALKS ARE BACK for another fall season! 3 Saturdays, 2 walks each day: SEPT. 26, 10a & 1p, OCT. 3, 10a & 1p and OCT.24, 11a & 2p. Beth Caruso tells the stories of two women, former Windsor residents, Alice 'Alse' Young and Lydia Gilbert, both hanged for witchcraft in colonial Connecticut. Alice was the very first victim of the colonial witch trials in 1647 and Lydia was also one of the earliest, sentenced to hang in 1654.Beth also informs walkers about the lesser-known Connecticut witch trials in general. A big tourism development from Visit Connecticut ! Today they released a Haunted History Trail and it includes many sites meaningful to the witch trial history- marked with a witch hat. They are also developing a history page for the witch trials
