-Pizza lunch and tours of the Austin Organs, Inc. factory!
-A seminar on French Classical organ music with Meg Harper.
-A masterclass with Ken Cowan
-A delicious polish meal in New Britain!
-A beautiful second faculty recital with Meg Harper, Lindsey Johnson, and Nathaniel Gumbs, featuring the new Noack organ at Sacred Heart Church.

Highlights of POEA Day Four:
-Catwalk tour of St. Joseph Cathedral
-Non-traditional hymn playing with Nathaniel Gumbs
-Conducting workshop with Gabriel Löfvall
-Introduction to the carillon with Ellen Dickinson
-Opening of the Trinity Summer Music Series with performances by Elijah Morris ’28 and Madison Thompson ’26 (organ) and Lynnli Wang (carillon)
-Roundtable discussion with faculty and students
-Late night practice for Friday’s recital!

POEA Day Three—New Haven and Yale!
-Battell Chapel led by David Rice
-Marquand Chapel and a workshop on temperament with Martin Jean
-Christ Church with Thomas Murray
-Trinity on the Green with Sarah Johnson
-Dwight Chapel led by Ken Cowan
-and a delicious dinner at

POEA Day Two!
-Individual lessons at organs throughout Hartford and West Hartford
-Workshop on Navigating a Large Organ Console, and Stage Management with Christopher Houlihan
-Seminars on Service Playing with Nicholas Capozzoli; Time Management and Competitions with Amanda Mole
-First of two faculty recitals, featuring Professors Houlihan, Mole, and Ken Cowan at Cathedral of St. Joseph
Tomorrow: New Haven! 🎹

First day of POEA is in the books! Students checked into dorms at Trinity College, then had their first seminar on practice techniques, led by faculty member Lindsey Johnson. Next was dinner and a recital St. John's Episcopal Church - West Hartford, CT performed beautifully by Nicholas Capozzoli and Ted Babbit. American Guild of Organists

We are looking forward to collaborating with the Greater Hartford American Guild of Organists to host a summer program for high school organists, a "Pipe Organ Encounter Advanced." Ten talented organists from across the country will be in residence at Trinity College later this month, taking lessons and workshops at venues across Greater Hartford. You are invited to attend five programs featuring the POEA faculty and amazing local organists—all free and open to the public!
