PRESS RELEASE

Heart Bible International University Launches First-of-Its-Kind CPE Supervisory Training Center
HBI University CPE Center Now Live at hbiucpe.org

POINCIANA, FL – September 8, 2026
Heart Bible International University, also known as HBI University (HBIU), today announced that its CPE Supervisory Training Center has been established and operational for nearly two months, marking a major milestone in theological and clinical education.

The new center, accessible at hbiucpe.org is the first of its kind CPE website and training platform developed by HBIU to provide a centralized, innovative system for Clinical Pastoral Education supervision, training, and student engagement.

As a faith-based institution, HBI University is on the cutting edge of implementing systems that will help students from across the globe to engage in practical, supervised experiences essential for professional chaplaincy.

The launch comes at a pivotal moment for CPE nationally. In 2026, hospital budget cuts have slashed traditional CPE training slots, forcing a major restructuring of how chaplains are trained. In response, leading institutions are creating their own accredited units. Harvard Divinity School is building its own CPE program to ensure students can complete required clinical hours, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is opening new accredited CPE units this fall to meet growing demand for board-certified chaplains.

Like those national efforts, HBI University’s new center addresses the urgent need for accessible, accredited, and board-certification-ready training.

“HBIU has always been committed to quality education that is both spiritually grounded and professionally credentialed,” said administration. “With hbiucpe.org, we are providing students worldwide a direct pathway to practical experience, supervisory training, and readiness for board certification at a time when that pathway is disappearing elsewhere.”
