A big thank you goes out for the brothers of Kappa Sigma Sigma Alpha, who participated in The Polar Plunge at Narraganset beach for the Tau-Eta chapter at University of Rhode Island on Sunday afternoon. All the proceeds went to the Military Heroes campaign. Although the water was cold, the sacrifice was minuscule in comparison to what those defending our freedom go through.

Congratulations to our brother Jack Carter for completing the Hartford Half Marathon for the Hartford Children’s Hospital this morning! Jack completed the race in an impressive 1:28.

We would like to thank Hartford Police CT and City of Hartford Fire Department | Hartford CT for all that you do for our community! We appreciate you welcoming us into your stations and accepting our tokens of gratitude. Today we remember the brave men and women who serve our nation today, and those who have in the past. We would like to congratulate Josh Tobin for being recognized with the "Emerging Leader Award" at the Campus and Greek Life Awards Ceremony this week! Josh was one of over five members up for consideration for awards after being nominated by their peers. We thank everyone for their effort and strong leadership over the past year.

The Sigma Alpha Chapter has the pleasure of announcing that, in proud collaboration with the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega at Trinity College, our organizations raised $2,945 for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals during the "Trinathon" Dance Marathon event last week!

In addition, we applaud our members who were initiated into the Gamma Sigma Alpha Honor Society at the Trinity College Chapel this afternoon! Pictured here are Taylor Ogan and Nate Carey, who were among several brothers recognized for their leadership and academic achievement in Trinity's Greek community.

We are excited to announce that the Sigma Alpha Chapter is the proud recipient of two Chapter Academic Excellence Awards for their efforts during the Spring and Fall of 2016. Members achieved above the all men's average on Trinity's campus each semester. This reflects the dedication and commitment of each member to the Fraternity's second and third pillars: Leadership and Scholarship.
