A look back on the month of May at Grace Academy, and one of Grace Academy’s most cherished traditions.

Our Moving Up Ceremony is a time where 7th and 8th grade students shared words of encouragement with one another. 7th graders write letters to the graduating class as they head off to high school, while the 8th graders share words of wisdom and advice with those rising in the upcoming year.

At times emotional, other times quite funny, the Moving Up Ceremony reflects the Grace mission — reminding our students that they are supported not just by the community as whole, but also by the sisterhood they share with one another.

A HUGE thank you to for joining Grace Academy year after year for their National Days of Service. This week, over 20 volunteers joined us to facilitate financial literacy activities for our students, as well as clean and organize our storage spaces.

Students engaged in conversations about budgeting, interest, savings, and more. We are so grateful for these partnerships, as they lay a strong foundation for our students and remind them of the importance of collaborating and getting involved with your community! Thank you

On Friday, May 1st 2026, the first day of Mental Health Awareness Month, 8th Grade Student Council unveiled a project they had been working on for months. They call it “The Safe Space.”

Student Council raised 100% of the funds needed to bring this space to life through their own researched budget, timeline, a presentation at The Hartford, and a few successful bake sales.

“[The Safe Space] will be something that is a long-term preservation of vital resources that allows us to steward to the community even after we graduate.”
