Here are a few things you need to keep in mind 👇

1️⃣ Are you already taking part in PSLF or IDR? You could lose credit for your qualifying payments if you consolidate.

2️⃣ Never pay a private company for help with federal debt consolidation - the application process is VERY SIMPLE.

3️⃣ Consolidating so that you have one bill could cause you to lose eligibility for some cancellation benefits given to your current loans.

4️⃣ If you consolidate loans other than direct, you could gain access to IDR repayment/PSLF.
