Join us on March 4, 2027, at Central Connecticut State University for a day filled with learning, connection, collaboration, and celebration as we bring together TRP Alumni, Residents, early-career educators, and educational partners.

Interested in sharing your expertise? We’ll soon be accepting proposals for 60-minute breakout sessions designed to inspire, inform, and support educators at every stage of their journey.

We’re officially underway! Our first CT TRP cohort meeting of the year took place last Friday.

The residency year is a journey, and no one gets through it alone. These Residents will learn together, support one another through the challenges, celebrate each other’s successes, and build relationships that extend far beyond this year.

By the end of this journey, they won’t just be a cohort, they’ll be a TRP family, connected by an experience and a bond that will last for years to come.

Resident to Teacher: Vrushali Jain! ✨🎓

From Cohort 7 to the classroom! When Vrushali Jain began the CT Teacher Residency Program, she was excited to dive into the training, gain new wisdom, build her skills, and learn everything she could to become the teacher she hoped to be.

Now, she’s reached the other side of that journey—fully prepared and ready to step into her very first year as a teacher!

Vrushali is heading to Western Connecticut Academy for International Studies in Danbury, CT, where she’ll begin her teaching career with the knowledge, skills, and preparation she worked so hard to build throughout the program.

As Vrushali puts it:

“I believe every student deserves a champion. CT TRP is preparing me to be that champion.”

We couldn’t be more excited to see her take everything she’s learned and bring it into her own classroom. Congratulations, Vrushali! 💙📚

Resident to Teacher: Sarell Grayson! 🎓🌱

We’re excited to celebrate Sarell Grayson, a proud graduate of Cohort 7 of the CT Teacher Residency Program! 💙

From the very beginning, Sarell looked forward to the training and the opportunity to gain new wisdom that would prepare her for the classroom. She embraced the learning, the growth, and the experiences that came with the residency—and now, she’s on the other side of it, ready to begin her first year as a teacher!

Sarell captured her excitement for this journey beautifully:

“I am excited about my new educational journey, which is affording me the opportunity to plant good seeds, as well as the opportunity to receive priceless wisdom!”

Those seeds have been planted, the wisdom has been gained, and now Sarell is ready to put it all into action. 🌱

Sarell will begin her teaching career as a first-year teacher at Uncas Elementary School in Norwich, CT, where she will have the opportunity to nurture, inspire, and make a lasting impact on her students.

Congratulations, Sarell! Your journey from resident to educator is just beginning, and we are so proud of the growth, dedication, and enthusiasm you’ve brought to Cohort 7. Here’s to planting good seeds and watching them grow!

Resident to Teacher: Taylor Tardy! ✨🎓

Today, we’re celebrating Taylor Tardy, a proud graduate of Cohort 7 of the CT Teacher Residency Program! 💙

When Taylor began this journey, she was honest about feeling nervous for what was ahead. She knew the work would challenge her, but she also knew she was worthy of the opportunity and capable of persevering through whatever came her way.

Now, look at her—on the other side of the residency and ready to begin her first year as a teacher!

Taylor shared this reflection at the beginning of her journey:

“Although I am nervous for this program I am worthy of the work I will be doing. I know I am confident in my ability to preserve through any challenge that will come my way. I am positive I will be the best version of myself for my colleagues and my students.”

That nervousness has transformed into growth, confidence, and preparation for the incredible work ahead. Taylor is now stepping into her first year teaching position at ACES at Chase Academy, ready to bring her passion, perseverance, and commitment to her students and colleagues.

Taylor, you did it! We are so proud of the educator you have become and can't wait to see all that you accomplish in your first year and beyond. Here's to embracing the next chapter and becoming the best version of yourself along the way!

Resident to Teacher: Brittney Wells! ✨🎓

Please join us in celebrating Brittney Wells, a proud graduate of Cohort 7 of the CT Teacher Residency Program!

After completing her residency journey, Brittney is ready to take the next exciting step in her career as a first-year teacher for CREC Magnet Schools. She will be teaching at Glastonbury East Hartford Magnet School.

Brittney shared her excitement:

“I was very excited to be apart of CT TRP. I look forward to a year to remember. Sending positive wishes to my entire cohort 7.”

From resident to educator, Brittney has demonstrated the dedication and commitment it takes to enter the teaching profession. We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and excited to see the difference she will make in the lives of her students.
