As we close out the spring semester, SWSA came together for one of our most meaningful events: honoring grief. This year has brought loss to our campus community, and we wanted to create a space where that grief can be acknowledged and shared. Whether youβre grieving someone on campus, a loved one at home, or carrying loss in any form, you are seen and welcome here. π€

SWSA was proud to be part of Fresh Check Day, volunteering at an event dedicated to mental health and wellness π
Creating spaces like this on campus is important because it helps break the stigma and reminds students that support is always within reach. Taking care of your mental health matters just as much as anything else!! π¦π¦

As we close out National Social Worker Appreciation Month, SWSA would like to express our gratitude for the social workers who work tirelessly to uplift individuals, families, and entire communities. They advocate for the vulnerable, support those in crisis, connect people to essential resources, and fight for equity and justice. We want to recognize not just the profession, but the heart behind it. We appreciate the advocates, the counselors, the case managers, the crisis responders, the macro workers, and every professional who dedicates their life to serving others. Your work matters! Your voice matters! And your impact changes lives!
To all of our fellow social workers, thank you for your compassion, your resilience, and your relentless commitment to your communities. The work never stops and neither do we! Happy Social Work Month!! ππ
