🍂💜💛 HELLO, OCTOBER! 💛💜🍂

Tomorrow is October 1st, and October is going to be a BUSY month for Harrold ISD PTA! 🙌 We have several things kicking off, so get ready to see a lot of us over the next few days! 😂

Here’s just a little preview of what’s coming:

❤️ RED RIBBON WEEK
PTA will once again be hosting Red Ribbon Week, including our fun dress-up days, prizes for students, and our Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest!

🎨 PTA REFLECTIONS PROGRAM
We are SO excited to officially roll out the Texas PTA/National PTA Reflections Program this year! Students will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity in several different categories and potentially advance beyond the local level!

🍂🪙 “FALL INTO CHANGE” LOOSE CHANGE CONTEST
Get those pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters ready! Each grade division will be competing to see who can collect the most loose change!

💜💛 PTA MEMBERSHIP CONTEST — EXTENDED!
Since PTA may have been slacking just a little bit 😂, we have officially extended our membership contest through October 30th!

📣 DON’T WORRY — YOU DON’T HAVE TO REMEMBER ALL OF THIS! 😂

Each of these activities will have its own separate post with all of the details over the next couple of days, and information packets and reminders will begin going out tomorrow, October 1st!

October may be busy, but we are SO excited about everything we have planned for our students and families! 💜💛

As always, thank you to our parents, teachers, staff, students and community for supporting Harrold ISD PTA!

🍂 Here’s to a fun and busy October! 🍂

🎮🍄 LEVEL UP, HARROLD PTA! 🍄🎮

Okay, y’all… we know we’ve been slacking a little, and we apologize! 😅 This school year is FLYING by! Because we haven’t done the best job keeping everyone updated and reminding you about our membership contest, we’re extending it through OCTOBER 30! 🏆💜💛

📣 CURRENT LEADERS:
🥇 7th Grade & 8th Grade are TIED for FIRST PLACE! 👏👏

But don’t worry—we originally set September 30 as the end date, and those two grades worked hard to get to the top! Since they were tied when our original deadline rolled around, we’re going to take BOTH classes a little something as a thank-you for their hard work! 🥰

Now the competition is back ON through October 30, which means every grade still has plenty of time to LEVEL UP! 🎮⭐

Remember, you don’t have to have a student in the grade you support—or even be a parent—to join PTA! Just make sure you list the grade you want your membership to count toward when you sign up.

🏆 At the end of the contest, the grade with the MOST PTA memberships wins a class lunch from the restaurant of their choice!

Let’s see who can knock 7th & 8th grade out of that top spot! 👀😂

💜💛 Thank you for supporting Harrold PTA and our students! 💛💜

📣💜💛 HARROLD PTA MEMBERSHIP UPDATE! 💛💜📣

Your student should have come home sometime last week with a packet full of PTA information, including information about our membership contest!

We’ve been slacking a little on updating the standings 😅 BUT we can tell you that 7th & 8th grade are currently TIED for the lead! 👀🏆💜💛

Right now, Harrold PTA is also competing against another school district to see who can have the highest percentage of PTA memberships by October 30! So every membership counts! 🙌

And remember — joining PTA does NOT mean you have to volunteer! 💜 We know everyone has busy schedules. Simply becoming a member helps support our students, teachers, and the fun things we are able to bring to Harrold. 💛

And we have some exciting things coming this year! 🎉 We’ll be introducing the Reflections Program, an arts program we have never participated in before! 🎨✨ More information will be coming home soon!

Then, before we know it, we’ll be heading into Red Ribbon Week, Five Days of Christmas, and our Christmas Store! 🎄🎁

It feels crazy to already be talking about Christmas, but it really is right around the corner! 😳🎄

Thank you to everyone who has already joined and supported Harrold PTA. Every membership and every bit of support is appreciated! 💜💛

Have questions or need another membership form? Just reach out to us! 💜🐝💛

Welcome to Harrold!

05/22/2026

As the 2025–2026 school year comes to an end, we just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make this year such a success — from our amazing teachers and staff at Harrold ISD, to our students, parents, families, and all of our fellow Hornets. 💜💛

While we are still fairly new and this was only our second full year operating, we are incredibly proud of everything we have accomplished together. We still have so much growing and learning to do, but none of this would have been possible without the support, encouragement, and involvement from all of you.

We also want to give a special thank you to all of our elected officers from this past year for the time, dedication, and hard work they poured into our PTA. And an extra special thank you to those who have chosen to return and continue serving again this year — including stepping into new positions to help us grow even more!

We are already looking forward to an even better 2026–2027 school year! If anyone is interested in serving on the board or volunteering with the PTA in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to have you involved! 🐝
