Story time got a special upgrade! 📚

K-2 students were thrilled to welcome special guest Trish Suhr, nationally recognized comedian, television personality and author, for a fun-filled reading event. Trish shared her love of storytelling with our young learners, bringing plenty of smiles, laughter and excitement to the classroom.

📚🍎 Welcome Mrs. Gayle "Gigi" Long to JFWA's Third Grade Classroom! 🍎📚

Mrs. Long brings 25 years of experience in elementary education and is licensed to teach Pre-K through sixth grade. Throughout her career, she has served as a Library Media Specialist and a classroom remedial teacher, supporting students across all academic content areas.

She holds a Master of Science in Education and an endorsement in Library Media (K-12). In addition to her classroom experience, Mrs. Long has served as a gifted coordinator, robotics coach, and STEM instructor, helping students develop critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning.

We are thrilled to have her expertise, passion, and dedication as part of our school family. Help us give Mrs. Long a warm JFWA welcome! 💙📖✨

📚🍎 Meet Our Pre-K Team! 🍎📚

Please join us in welcoming the new wonderful educators who are guiding our youngest learners this year at JFWA!

✨ Heidy Styles, Pre-K Teacher -- Ms. Styles is beginning her first year as a classroom teacher after earning her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies (K-8) from Western Governors University. She believes that learning through play is the best approach for young children and is excited to help her students grow, explore, and discover. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling, experiencing different cultures, reading, and collecting classic books.

✨ Teresa Burton, Pre-K Teacher Assistant -- Now in her second year at JFWA, she served as a substitute teacher last year and is excited to join the Pre-K team full time as a teacher assistant. Before moving to Tennessee from Delaware, Ohio, she worked for more than 10 years with two large public school districts and spent 22 years with the State Retirement System. She is also a proud JFWA parent, with a son who is a junior at the school. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and boating on Norris Lake.

We're excited for the caring, experienced, and enthusiastic team leading our Pre-K students this year. Help us give them a warm JFWA welcome! ❤️💙
