Dear HHSâ Classmates of 1984,
Can you believe it has been 40 years since we graced the high school graduation stage?! Even though many of us have lost contact, some have remained close friends; however, we will always be classmates!
To honor our milestone year, we have optional events planned for us to reconnect and share memories of friendship and to reflect on what it meant to be a Pioneer! Our thought process through the planning has been to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable so that everyone can have a relaxing and enjoyable time together.
Optional Activities:
*Feel free to order a 1984 class reunion souvenir t-shirt through this provided link:
https://www.showyourad.com/si/709584333/tshirt/reunion-t-shirt
A profit is not our goal, but with a slight mark-up price, we will make a donation toward the maintenance of our Alvis Johnson Field.
*Friday, October 18th: 5:00 pm Tour of our HHS building on Lexington Road We will meet in the parking lot.
Ordered souvenir HHS t-shirts Class of â84 will be distributed to optionally wear
Tailgate together at the Alvis Johnson Field to watch the Titansâ Homecoming Game
*Saturday, October 19th from 4pm-8pm: Cookout at 1005 Cole Road; Harrodsburg, KY
Head north from Harrodsburg on Hwy. 127; turn left on Vanarsdall Road (Hwy. 1988); approximately 2 miles on the left⊠Balloons will be at the turn! Mr. Jerry Catlett allows school reunions to use his barn venue for free! We will tip his son, Neil, for clean-up assistance. Co****le, ping pong, darts, music, food, and water/soft drinks will be available. The menu includes, but is not limited to, grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, potato salad, baked beans, chips, and specialty cookies (made by Liz Maysâ niece, a culinary pastry chef!) To offset the cost of food, drinks, plates, and utensils, we are asking for a voluntary donation of up to $30 per classmate. Significant others/spouses are invited for free. Any funds not used for dinner will be used for Neil Catlettâs assistance and for the donation to help maintain the Alvis Johnson Field. If you would rather donate food items instead of a monetary donation, feel free to do so!
Alcoholic beverages will not be provided, but feel free to BYOB! Mr. Catlett is fine with this, as long as we are respectful to his property.
*There will be a commemorative table set aside to honor our classmates who are no longer with us. Please bring memorabilia to share!
-Please RSVP by September 10th to Liz Mays by either messaging her on the Harrodsburg High Class of 84 page or by emailing us at [email protected].
