For the First Quarter Recitation Day and Art Show, our classes sang all four verses of The Star-Spangled Banner, the Alphabet in English and Greek, The Sanctus, and Psalm 23, recited Mary’s Magnificat, poems about Columbus, the beginning of the Declaration of Independence, and new Latin knowledge.
We also recognized Anna Currie for her practice of our September virtue of focus, CHARITY: loving God with all your heart, mind, and strength and your neighbor as yourself.
Well done, students and teachers. Ad astra! 💫

🍏🍎 Our Montessori friends worked hard all day chopping and mixing apples and filling the hall with celestial scents of warm cinnamon and maple syrup. They taste tested and voted for their favorite varieties and then enjoyed the fruits of their labor! 🍎🍏

🇺🇸 Happy Constitution Day! Once again the DAR of St. Asaph gave our students pocket copies and invited us to participate in Bells Across America in commemoration of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on this day in 1787. 📜 We also enjoyed our first field trip of the year to The Center for Rural Development to see two productions by Kentucky Shakespeare: Living History, “We the People,” and “Kentucky History.” Let freedom ring! 🔔
