Week Two at AAK!!
Not a lot of time for pictures, but we did catch a few!

•Measuring parts of our bodies with nonstandard units of measure
•Sharing our “Family Stories”
•A little creative dance with hula hoops

We also started reading and math rotations today and they did an amazing job!!

Today at AAK…
We did a little public speaking practice! We learned how to stand tall and speak loud and clear. We learned how to be active listeners. We learned how to ask questions and to applaud someone for a job well done! Very proud of these presenters and their awesome communication skills!

We also had 100% recite their very first memory verse! Some chose to sing it… but that’s why we learn through song! It sticks and it gives us something to sing allllll day! 😉🥰

Today was also assessment day so we got in a little extra creative play time! ❤️

I promise we won’t post every single day of our year, but today was so fun!!!

We are gearing up for handwriting practice by learning the terms “vertical”, “horizontal”, and “diagonal” lines! Today we practiced all three on the “wall”! We then connected our lines to make exciting pictures! 😃

What can you make with 10 colored dots (colored dots are more fun than black dots!)?

We have also been talking about how fearfully and wonderfully we have been made! We used eggs to demonstrate how we all look different on the outside, but all the same on the inside! We planned to save the egg yolks/whites to cook with on Thursday, but they had to touch them! 😂🩷 “I’ve never touched the inside of an egg before! It feels like slime!” 😂🥰

I also got to be a shark at recess! I only nibbled a few legs and a toe! 🥰🦈
