This week, Mrs. Witherspoon's classes explored emotions through The Color Monster a story about emotions. Students engaged in an activity sorting emotions with pom poms into jars. This book is superb!

Summer school is a great opportunity for students to keep learning and stay engaged! Enrollment is now open for all students entering kindergarten through 12th grade.
Dates: May 22 – June 18 (Monday–Friday)
Time: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Transportation provided
Breakfast & lunch available at regular school-year prices
Locations:
Incoming K–1st: Harrisonville Early Childhood Center
Incoming 2nd–8th: Harrisonville Middle School (elementary & middle school students will remain separated)
Incoming 9th–12th: Harrisonville High School

We have received several great questions regarding the upcoming kindergarten screening at Harrisonville Elementary School (HES) on May 7-9, and we want to share some important information with you.
ALL enrolled preschool students need to schedule a screening
appointment online at www.harrisonvilleschools.org/ecc
Preschool students will not receive the kindergarten screening during the school day as they have in past years.
Mrs. Garrison, Mrs. Witherspoon and the Parents as Teachers educators, will be at HES to greet your student and conduct the screening.
While your student is being screened, parents will be asked to complete some paperwork. Screening results will be shared with you once your student is finished.
To complete the process, a state issued birth certificate and updated copy of immunizations will be required as well.

Please note Kindergarten Round-Up will take place at Harrisonville Elementary School (HES)!
Kindergarten enrollment for 2025-26 is now open! 🖍️🍏
The kindergarten program is open to all students who will turn five by July 31 and who live in the Harrisonville School District. Kindergarten is a full day program.
Families with an incoming kindergarten student can sign up for a kindergarten screening/enrollment appointment online at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E49ACA62FAAFECE9-55688430-round #/.
The screenings will take about 45 minutes and will be held on May 7-9 at Harrisonville Elementary School, 101 Meghan Drive - our kindergarten is moving to HES for the 2025-26 school year.
At the appointment, parents will complete online enrollment. To complete the process, a state issued birth certificate and updated copy of immunizations will be required as well.
