Come join us on Wednesday, September 2nd, from 7 - 8 p.m. at the Cass Career Center for our annual FFA Ice Cream Social.

Our Chapter FFA Officers are working to develop stations to share what activities and projects we will be doing in FFA this year. This event is open to students and parents and is especially focused on first-year members.

We hope to see you there!

Cass Career Center FFA members wrapped up the second part of the 2026 Missouri State Fair with success.

Sophomore Lilia Linneman placed in the Top 10 in Beef Showmanship and showed her Market Heifer.

Freshman Addison Goddard competed in the State Fair Horseshoe Pitching Tournament and placed 2nd in her division.

Ambrose Hill placed 3rd in his class of Nubian Dairy Goats during the FFA Show.

Senior Molly Melzer won her class in the FFA Show and placed 3rd in the Open Show with her Holstein Heifer in the Dairy Cattle Show. Sophomore David Melzer placed 3rd in his class. Graduate Case Melzer placed 3rd in his class in the FFA Show and 4th in the Open Show. Molly, David, and Case also got to visit with Senator Eric Schmitt as he was touring the dairy barn during the Fair.

Congratulations to incoming FFA freshman Katherine Graeve for being selected to perform in the National FFA Band during the 99th National FFA Convention, October 21-24 in Indianapolis, IN.

A big THANK YOU to Harrisonville High School Band Director, Mr. Orr, for helping with the application and audition.

Katherine joins a select group of Cass Career Center / Harrisonville FFA members accepted into the National FFA Band:

Cass Career Center FFA members have been busy during the first part of the 2026 Missouri State Fair.

Recent graduate Schyler Gates showed in the 4-H/FFA Sheep Showmanship Class, FFA Market Lamb Show, FFA Breeding Sheep Show, and the Open Breeding Sheep Show. Schyler received Gold ratings on his sheep and placed 2nd in his class during the Open Breeding Sheep Show.

Seven members participated in the Drive to Feed Kids Food Insecurity Day on Tuesday, August 18th. These members helped pack 250,000 meals for food-insecure people throughout Missouri. Members also had a chance to meet and get a picture with Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe.

In the FFA Ag Mechanics Show, over 70 members exhibited, with most students earning a Gold rating. Senior Taylor Kanoy placed 4th in the FFA Ham Show.

Later this week, we will have members participate in the FFA Dairy Cattle and Dairy Goat Shows.

Each Ag student at the Cass Career Center has a Supervised Ag Experience (SAE) project that teaches them knowledge and skills in an area of agriculture that interests them.

Some students have an Ownership-based project where they raise livestock/animals, crops, or own a service business. Other students have a Placement-based project in which they work for an individual or a business.

Agriculture Instructors visit students to learn about their SAE projects and what students are learning. While visits occur throughout the year, the summer is an excellent time to get out to see students in action.

FFA Trap Information Meeting - Thursday, August 20th in the Cass Career Center FFA Conference Room from 7:15 - 8 pm. We will go over the practice schedule, Fall League, Fall State Shoot, Spring Districts, and Spring State Shoots.

A HUGE Congratulations to FFA members Audri Craig, Joseph Wray, and Warren Highley for finding out they will receive the American FFA Degree this coming October at the National FFA Convention! The American Degree is the highest degree given in the National FFA Organization. Typically, only 0.5% of FFA members achieve the American FFA Degree.
