Cass Students on the National Stage! 🇺🇸💚 We are incredibly proud to celebrate incoming freshman Katherine Graeve, who will represent Cass Career Center in the National FFA Organization Band!

Earning a spot in the National FFA Band is an incredible accomplishment. Students from across the country audition for a limited number of positions, making selection a highly competitive national honor that requires exceptional musical talent, dedication, and preparation.

Katherine’s hard work and talent have earned her a place among some of the nation’s finest FFA musicians—and we couldn’t be more excited to see her represent Cass Career Center and Missouri on the national stage!

Congratulations, Katherine! We are so proud of you! 💚🇺🇸

Congratulations to incoming FFA freshman Katherine Graeve for being selected to perform in the National FFA Band during the 99th National FFA Convention, October 21-24 in Indianapolis, IN.

A big THANK YOU to Harrisonville High School Band Director, Mr. Orr, for helping with the application and audition.

Katherine joins a select group of Cass Career Center / Harrisonville FFA members accepted into the National FFA Band:
1952 - Konrad Heid
1973 - Michael Ellis
1975 & 1976 - Rick Schrock
1977 & 1978 - Daryl Wagner
We know we had 1-2 members selected in the 1980s; let us know if you know who they were
2026 - Katherine Graeve

Aubrey Graeve and Lisa Elifrits had the opportunity to share a little of the Cass Career Center story with the Harrisonville Rotary Club this week!

As our Integrated Academics Instructors, Aubrey and Lisa work alongside our CTE instructors to make sure math, technical literacy, communication, and professionalism aren't separate from career training. They're built right into it.

They shared how that looks across programs, from solving the math that actually shows up on the job to helping students evaluate their own workplace professionalism and understand what employers expect.

We're proud of the work these two are doing to help connect what students learn in the classroom with what they'll be expected to do in the workplace. And we're always grateful for opportunities to share that work with our community.

Thank you, Harrisonville Rotary, for having us!

A HUGE Congratulations to FFA members Audri Craig, Joseph Wray, and Warren Highley for finding out they will receive the American FFA Degree this coming October at the National FFA Convention! The American Degree is the highest degree given in the National FFA Organization. Typically, only 0.5% of FFA members achieve the American FFA Degree.

đź’šBuilding Careers. Building Community.

We are incredibly proud of our partnership with Cass Regional Medical Center and even more excited to see the impact of that partnership right here in Cass County!

Our graduates are not just learning at Cass Career Center—they are building careers and serving their community. From high school programs to our Cass Career Center PN Program, Cass graduates are continuing their journeys at Cass Regional and making a difference every day.

🌟 Emily Mercer, a four-year Cass Career Center Marketing student, recently completed an internship with Cass Regional’s Education Department. As she heads to Northwest Missouri State University to study Business Administration with a minor in Healthcare Administration, Emily gained valuable experience in education, human resources, and accounting while helping with programs like SCRUBS.

🩺 Carsyn Breiner, a graduate of both our EMT and Health Services programs and our Practical Nursing program, recently passed the NCLEX and became a Licensed Practical Nurse on Cass Regional’s Med/Surg unit. Her journey from CNA to LPN is a wonderful example of the opportunities that can grow from a Cass Career Center education.

🎓 We also celebrate Deana Palmer, Lillian Davis, Abbie Baker, and their fellow Cass Regional colleagues as graduates of the hospital’s first Nurse Residency Program. These Cass Career Center graduates continue to grow their skills, expand their knowledge, and make a difference in the lives of patients throughout our community.

And a special thank you to Cass Regional’s Education Team—Crysti Danahy, Casey Shultz, and Ben Strauch! Their commitment to education and professional growth extends beyond the hospital through programs like SCRUBS, which introduces high school students to healthcare careers and inspires the next generation of healthcare professionals.

This is what a strong school-community partnership looks like: students learning, graduates working, professionals mentoring, and our community growing stronger together.đź’š

We are proud to call Cass Regional Medical Center a partner—and we are even prouder to see our Cass graduates thriving there!
