SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: BATTALION LEADERSHIP 🌟
Kicking off our Senior Spotlight series with three of the senior Cadets leading Duke Battalion this semester! Meet CDT Dailey, CDT Ricci, and CDT Murphy and hear what inspired them to step into their leadership roles. 🎓🇺🇸
CDT Emma Dailey | Battalion Commander
“I wanted to be BC because I remember being inspired and supported by the seniors when I came in as a freshman, and I wanted the opportunity to give back what they gave me. I am so grateful for all of the people, growth, and experiences I’ve had through ROTC, and I hope I can help others have as much of a positive experience as I have had.
If I had one piece of advice, it would be to never be afraid to try something new. Every experience, win or lose, comes with lessons and builds you into the person you are meant to be. So just go for it, and you’ll end up right where you are supposed to.”
CDT Alivia Ricci | Battalion Executive Officer
“I wanted to be the Battalion XO because I wanted to challenge myself and take on a leadership role where I could help the battalion and learn from the experience. My biggest advice to other Cadets is to get involved and put yourself out there. Some of the best experiences I’ve had in ROTC have come from doing things that pushed me outside of my comfort zone.”
CDT Michael Murphy | Cadet Sergeant Major
“I chose this position because I wanted to be able to enforce standards and discipline in the battalion and create a stepping stone for the battalion to continue to perform better after I leave.”
Stay tuned as we continue highlighting the seniors who have helped shape Duke Battalion! ⭐️
