President emeritus Loren Swartzendruber on the passing of Eastern Mennonite University's remarkably influential 5th president, Dr. Myron Augsburger:

"So many memories. Several weeks ago Myron told me he hoped to attend the inauguration of Shannon Dycus as EMU''s 10th president last weekend. That was not to be.

Last evening, six hours before his passing, I had the privilege of visiting him with Shannon. Though he was essentially non-responsive, I'd like to believe he heard our words of appreciation and love, and our prayers for a peaceful passing. It was a holy moment. RIP, Myron."

Trustee Dr. Steve Kriss '94 presented an eloquent "charge" to President Dycus at Saturday's Investiture. We're deeply grateful to Steve and other alumni (like Jane Hoober Peifer '75) who made the ceremony so meaningful and memorable.

Alums in the room enjoyed the most musical TenTalks we've ever experienced on a Homecoming Saturday! Be enriched by the wisdom and musical gifts of Eric Brubaker '01, Trent Wagler '02, and Cindy Lapp '86, and then hear the powerful reflections of Kirk Livers '11. All four alums did their alma mater extremely proud, and all four remind us of the long-term impact EMU professors are making in the lives of today's students.
