JMU Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies
The program is currently under the direction of Drs.
Since 1992 the Womenโs and Gender Studies program at JMU has connected interdisciplinary faculty who share an interest in gender studies, offered a course of study in gender equity to JMU undergraduates, and provided academic leadership to the JMU community by raising awareness of issues related to gender. Jessica Davidson (History) and Mary Thompson (English) and is administered through the Office of Cross Disciplinary Studies.

Professor Davidson is on the WGSS Advisory Board, and teaches various courses related to European history, Latin history, and womenโs history.
