Cornerstone Christian School

Cornerstone Christian School Cornerstone Christian School is a PreK-12th grade program located in Harrisonburg. For over 30 years, we served students through 8th grade.

Cornerstone Christian School has been serving the greater Harrisonburg, Virginia, community since the fall of 1990 when two teachers and 19 students established a program dedicated to help students live Biblically, learn effectively and serve God with passion. In the 2021-2022 school year we were excited to add 9th grade. After much prayer and a season of discernment, it was decided to move forwar

d with a high school program. In May of 2025, we graduated our first senior class. What began in a church building located in Broadway now operates in a school facility located in Harrisonburg. This facility is equipped with modern classrooms, a science lab, a gymnasium, library, athletic fields, and space to grow. Our vision is to train students with Biblical principles and release them to impact their world with Godly character, advanced learning, and the heart to minister and love others.

Shout out to the MS volleyball team for their solid improvement from the first to second game. They played with so much heart on Friday! Way to Go Lady Cougars!! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see your first win!

The Lady Cougars host two home matches at Cougar Coliseum this week! Wear your Cougar colors and pack the gym on Tuesday, August 25 vs Blue Ridge, then prepare for a TOTALLY RAD '80s Night vs Ridgeview on Thursday, August 27! The season is off to a strong start! 💙🏐💛

A few highlights from our first MS and JV volleyball games where much hustle, energy, and team spirit were already on display. (See Monday's post for photos of the Varsity team.)

And we're just getting started! All three teams (MS, JV, and Varsity) have their first home game tomorrow (Friday) starting at 4:30! Come out and cheer on the Lady Cougars.

Alumni Spotlight - Alana, Class of 2025

Since graduating last year, I've had a year of incredible experiences, growth, and change. After high school, I spent six months with YWAM Kona in Hawaii, three months attending lectures and living in community, then two months on outreach in Morocco.

Along the way, I experienced some of the best friendships I've ever had and discovered an incredible love for Jesus and a heart for reaching the unreached. The biggest thing I've learned is that if I have Jesus, I have everything.

Since returning from YWAM, I've been working and saving to move to North Carolina next year to pursue my dream of becoming a wedding photographer, earning a two-year associate degree at Randolph Community College.

I'm grateful for the people, experiences, and opportunities that have shaped this year — especially those who believed in me and supported me along the way. As I step into this next chapter, I'm excited to see where God leads me and thankful to have such a strong foundation of people cheering me on along the way.

School hasn't even started yet, and the Varsity Volleyball team is already winning! Congratulations to the Lady Cougars on their victory over Redeemer Classical today!

The team showed perseverance, teamwork, and toughness from start to finish. Even a bloody nose couldn’t stop them!

Way to go, Lady Cougars! We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see what this season holds!
