Baptist Collegiate Ministries at James Madison University is a student organization that exists to share the love of Jesus with a campus that needs hope by loving God, serving others, and growing together. The BCM is for more than just Baptist students, but it is sponsored by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board.

But… what do we do? Answering all your most burning questions today about what we offer, how to get disciples, what our building hours are in order to offer you a hospitable space year-round and even how to become a leader. We are a staff-led, student-run campus ministry, it’s our heart and vision to develop leaders during their time in college for the purpose of preparing them to be healthy, effective church leaders by the time they graduate!

What makes our ministry unique?

➡️Our staff!
We have a dedicated staff who are here for the purposes of helping run the ministry, creating an atmosphere of hospitality, discipleship, and intentionality. Each of our staff has experience in their own faith walk that they bring to the table to mentor you, pursue you, encourage you and point you to Jesus.

They’re Gospel-centered, they’re around during the week, and these are the people you’ll meet with as you enter into a discipleship group which is the highest invitation and highest challenge experience you’ll get in the BCM.
