Grand Master Halterman started training in 1968 while in the military. Married in 1974 to Kathy and have two children, Sam born in 1977 and Kristy born in 1980.Trained in Okinawan and Japenese Goju-Ryu and other sytle such as Chinese Ching Lung, Tai Chi (Yang Style) and Tuite (pressure point striking). Halterman Karate Kickboxing & Jiu Jitsu (H.K.I.) was founded at 95 North Main Street in Harrisonburg in 1977. We moved to our present location at 16 Plasant Hill Road in 1990. Inside every man, woman, and child is a storehouse of hidden potential. The important knowledge that you look, feel, and perform at your best.
