Also watch out for to-go coffee cups and food containers, which typically have a thin plastic waterproofing layer on the inside. These should go into the garbage, not into your compost container. (looking at you , and 👀)

We don't require that your compostables be put into bags, but if you use a bag, make sure it's .

Look for items that are certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI). BPI sets the standard for compostable products, so you can be sure a BPI-certified product will break down during the composting process. Great examples are the range of products from , and the variety of compostable bags from .

We're thrilled to partner with Park View Farmers Market and Hook Hall to provide composting at this year's market! Compost drop-off containers will be available every market day (Sundays, from 10am - 2pm) and we will be there once a month to answer questions and say 'hello'!



Compost drop-off starts this week, Feb. 7th! We will be at the market (in person) on Feb. 28th with compost for purchase and information about composting and our services. Can't wait to see you there!
