General Information on Virtual Teaching/General Assistance and Tutoring:
I would like to make your lives easier by providing virtual teaching/general support. This can include tasks such as differentiating lessons in advance, working with you and the parents or teachers to provide in school tutoring and study plans, organizing files, etc.
I am also willing to provide general support by assisting with more personal tasks such as researching and making detailed vacation plans, creating intricate gifts for your friends, or even comparison shopping to help you organize your classroom or homes.

Initial Post about Leaving the Traditional Classroom:
After ten years of traditional teaching and seven years total abroad, I have decided to work as a virtual assistant and English teacher, since one of my biggest regrets as a traditional teacher was my lack of time to work in depth with individual students (and a variety of texts), to help them with specific issues in all their classes.
Therefore, I will be starting my own business with the name of my favorite type of flower, the Star Gazer Lily ([email protected]).

Qualifications and Background Information for StarGazer Tutoring:
I, Ms. Amanda Reitze, have a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, a U.S. license for K-12 with a focus on English Language Acquisition (ELA) students, two years of experience as an editor, and 10 years of teaching experience. My specialty is helping students analyze literature, so I have taught both native and non-native speakers in international schools and universities in Germany, China, Belgium, Mexico, and the United States.
As a virtual teacher, I will work alongside my sister, Ms. Lisa Reitze, who is completing her final classes for her BA in Elementary (K-5) Education. With our virtual tutoring program, Ms. Lisa Reitze will focus on teaching all elementary school subjects, and I will focus on teaching English to middle and high school students, university students, and adults.

StarGazer Tutoring Price List:
Tutoring that requires advanced preparation is available for 50€ on school days or 60€ on weekends for high school students, 40/45€ for middle school students, and 25/35€ for elementary school students. Advanced preparation would include tasks such as breaking down a lesson for a science class or preparing a “targeted” lesson for a specific student or assessment. These are rates I was quoted from other teachers with advanced degrees. However, I am willing to compromise on these prices depending on the type of help that is needed, and I am always willing to give a discount to my former students.
Additionally, I am willing to lower prices for group sessions or tutoring sessions that are based on previously taught lessons or past discussions. An example would be a review of any of the following novels: The Kite Runner, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Fault in Our Stars, Seedfolks, or Malala
Additional tutoring prices are as follows:
Homework (that I can review during the tutoring session that does not require research prior to the lesson)
25€ per hour
Study Management Course
50-100€ per semester
(depending on the level of detail) to help the student make a plan for one class such as English B and then 25€ for every follow-up session to make sure the student has completed the work and knows how to revise the plan as needed. I am willing to reach out to teachers from other classes to help students make plans in other classes. I can also talk with students to help them implement their individualized plans on a calendar for the semester.
Group Lecture or Book Discussions (that do not require prior research such as on one of the novels above)
25€ per hour for one student
15€ per additional student
