Little Owlets had our first Family Event!
Pumpkin Carving Event and just a chance for our families to mingle and get to know each other!!!! So many thanks to all who came out!
We will definitely be doing this again!!!

Happy Thursday!

Somewhere along the way, we started treating childhood like a race.

Earlier milestones. More skills. Higher expectations. Always preparing children for what’s next.

But what are we asking them to leave behind in the process?

The freedom to explore without an outcome. The confidence to learn at their own pace. The joy of doing something simply because it feels good.

Being ahead is not the same as thriving.

Children deserve more than a childhood measured by how quickly they can meet our expectations.

They deserve time to wonder, make mistakes, take risks, ask questions, and discover who they are without the constant pressure to become something more.

Because childhood isn’t a waiting room for success. It is a meaningful part of life all on its own.

And that is something worth protecting. 🤍

We see science, problem-solving, coordination, and early math skills all happening at once! 🧠✨

🪣 Fill & Empty — exploring volume and quantity
👋 Touch & Feel — discovering different textures
🔄 Repeat, Repeat, Repeat! — building understanding through practice
💪 Hands at Work — strengthening those little muscles needed for future skills like eating, dressing, drawing, and writing

And the best part?

They don’t need a worksheet to learn it. ❤️

They need time, space, safe materials, and the freedom to explore.

At Little Owlets, we believe play isn’t something we do instead of learning.

Play IS learning. 🦉💛
