MID hosted the annual Senior Focus Day event this morning at Harrison Campus. Over 800 high school 12th graders toured the general campus and spent some time with the technical Faculty at the Harrison Tech Center. Students learned more about the educational and career opportunities through the associate degree program in Computer Aided Drafting/3-D Printing. Thank you to current MIDCAD students Evan M, Elliot B, and Blake B for helping me with the event today.

MIDCAD student Destry T successfully reverse designed and 3d printed this microscope adjustment gear part for MID's Biology Department. Destry worked closely with Science Lab Technician, Jessica K to ensure the 3d printed design worked correctly. Great job Destry!

Congratulations to the entire 2026 graduating class of Mid Michigan College! This past Saturday 8 MIDCAD graduates celebrated the completion of their degree. Dale J, Brandon H, Chase R, Ethan S, Andalee B, Shelbey S, and Dakota H all received their diplomas. This is a nationally recognized 3-D printing certification exam that proves an individual's knowledge and expertise in the areas of 3d printing. Connor now has another professional credential to show employers proof of his job ready skills and knowledge. Great job Connor! Great job MIDCAD!

Congratulations to MIDCAD student Ethan S for passing the Stratasys Additive Manufacturing Certification Exam. This is a nationally recognized 3-D printing certification exam that proves an individual's knowledge and expertise in the areas of 3d printing. Ethan now has another professional credential to show employers proof of his job ready skills and knowledge. Ethan is already working as a CAD Designer for Integrity Fab and Machine in Breckenridge. He is scheduled to complete his Associate Degree this semester. Great job Ethan! Great job MIDCAD!

Congratulations to MIDCAD student Andalee B on passing the Certified SolidWorks Associate Exam. The CSWA Exam is a nationally recognized mechanical CAD performance exam. Andalee can now show employers proof of her industry ready CAD skills. Andalee has already been hired as a CAD Designer for Ryan's Equipment in Edmore. She will be graduating with her CAD Associate Degree next week. Great job Andalee! Great job MIDCAD!

Thank you to all of the MIDCAD students who participated in the Student Showcase event this morning at the Harrison Tech Center. It was a great event for students, faculty, administrators, board members, business representative, and community members to observe excellent student achievement. This is my favorite event of the year. The MIDCAD Program students earned 5 additional awards for their outstanding project entries. Great job students! Great job MIDCAD!
