Today, OUR Education Co-op was excited to host "Grades 3–10 Writing that Aligns with ATLAS"!

Educators from across our region came together to strengthen writing instruction and prepare for using the updated ATLAS writing rubric during the 2026–27 school year. The session was led by Kelly Stone, DESE State Literacy Specialist.

Throughout the day, teachers explored current ATLAS writing data, collaborated to analyze student writing samples, and strengthened their understanding of the Arkansas Academic Standards. Participants also gained practical, classroom-ready strategies for providing meaningful feedback, making instructional decisions, and supporting student growth as writers.

Thank you to all of the dedicated educators who invested their time in learning and collaborating today. Your commitment to improving instruction and helping students become confident, successful writers will make a lasting impact in classrooms across our region!

Session: OUR AGFC Stream Team Training

This isn’t your typical sit-and-get PD. WE ARE HEADING TO THE WATER to master:

💧 Hydrology & Stream Health: Understanding natural and human impacts.

🔍 Macroinvertebrate Sampling: Identifying the critters that tell the story of water quality.

🧪 Water Quality Testing: Conducting field tests according to Stream Team standards.

⚠️ PACK YOUR GEAR: The afternoon portion is in the water! Dress for the weather and bring waterproof gear (Waders will be provided, but feel free to bring your own).
