6th-grade GT students took an animal genius quiz to discover animals that best reflect some of their natural strengths and ways of thinking!

The quiz gave students a fun way to think about how they learn, communicate, solve problems, and interact with others—and, most importantly, to recognize that there isn't one “best” type. Every animal brings different strengths to the classroom!

Calling all K-12 Chess Players in NW Arkansas!

On Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, we're hosting the Fall 2026 NW Arkansas Chess Tournament at Rogers Academy of Leadership & Innovation (RALI) High School.

Physical address: 2922 S 1st Street, Rogers, AR 72756

Registration is FREE for students in the Rogers Public Schools (RPS) or $5 for all other students. Money will be collected at the door. Cash or check only. Checks can be made payable to "Rogers Public Schools Advanced Programs." [Money raised supports the continuation of future tournaments, facility fees, & trophies.]

Registration is limited to the first 200 participants.

The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 25, 2026.

There are two divisions:
K-5th (elementary)
6-12th grade (secondary)

*Students will only play other students in their same division. Students are expected to play all five games.

There will be an hour for lunch. Lunch is NOT provided.

Schedule:
8:30-9:00am On-site Check-in/Registration
9:20am Game 1
10:20am Game 2
11:20am Game 3
12-1:00pm Lunch
1:05pm Game 4
2:05pm Game 5
3:00pm Awards (awarded to the top 4 players in each division)

Seventh grade had their first enrichment session today! They worked in teams to solve puzzles during an escape room challenge! One group made it out and the others are close! Any 7th grader is welcome to attend these critical and creative thinking lessons. We meet during lunch in Mrs. Jackson’s room!

It’s officially chess season! Students in grades 7-12 are invited to attend chess practices with Mrs. Jackson! Seventh and eighth graders meet during their lunches and high school students can sign up for sessions during their WIN time. Happy playing!
