A historic first at Widener University Commonwealth Law School!

We were honored to host our inaugural naturalization ceremony with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and celebrate 35 people from 11 countries as they became U.S. citizens.

Magistrate Judge Susan E. Schwab ’92 presided, joined by District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson, Chief Magistrate Judge Daryl F. Bloom, and Judge Henry W. Van Eck ’98 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

The latest Student Success Series focused on outlining and preparing for law school exams.

Thank you to SBA President Andrea Hernandez-Rodriguez and third-year students Margot Crouch, Paige Weaver, Haley Nelson and Joe Lennon for sharing their study strategies and practical advice with our 1Ls!

Some key takeaways: There’s no single right way to outline, focus on the concepts and rules your professor emphasizes, create your own outline instead of relying on someone else’s and choose a format that works for the way you learn. Most importantly, give yourself some grace as you figure out what works best for you.

Session 5 of the Student Success Series will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. in L202.

Her path to the global stage began as an evening student at Widener Law Commonwealth.
