We finished our first “senior week” of the year yesterday, where student teams create their own restaurant concepts and bring them to life in the DC Taste restaurant. We are so proud of these students and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings! Visit our restaurant page for more info.

Seniors finished up the savory-side of menu practice today! This dish, that is featured on the menu every year, is to help the students prepare for their NOCTI final exam in the spring: Fines Herbes Chicken with Rice Pilaf, Sautéed Haricots Verts and Baby Carrots. Great job, class of 2023! The Restaurant will be open in just a few short weeks! Stay tuned…

This past weekend the DCTS Culinary Arts program got to participate in Alex’s Chili Cook-Off for a Cause. It was an honor to be a part of such a special event. The students did an amazing job serving our White Chicken Chili with Hominy, Avocado, and Pickled Jalapeño! Alex W. Smith Foundation
