It’s NATIONAL CNA APPRECIATION WEEK and we're proud to support and enhance the work of nursing assistants — the backbone of our healthcare system. CNAs do a difficult and often underappreciated job providing hands-on care to patients, residents, seniors, and those living with disabilities. A key part of our mission is to ensure these dedicated CNAs are trained, confident in their abilities, and supported in their careers. We're honored to be a part of their lives and celebrate their many accomplishments! CNAs are healthcare champions!

We’re so proud to be part of a national network of labor-management training partnerships serving more than 800,000 healthcare workers in 22 states. The LMTP model is proven to help workers advance in careers, building equity and worker power along the way.
But long waitlists and limited capacity mean that too many workers can’t access programs that have been shown to improve retention, advancement, and quality of care.
New research from H-CAP, the Healthcare Career Advancement Program, documents worker experiences in LMTPs — and what policymakers and funders can do to support and scale these models. The evidence is clear. The workers are ready.

“Direct care workers are vital to making sure that older Pennsylvanians and people with disabilities can live as independently as possible and with dignity in a home they choose. These professionals give so much of themselves to care for others, so we must support them and pay them fairly."
-- PA Department of Human Services Secretary Dr. Val Arkoosh
