Visits like these make sure eligible SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania members have real, direct access to the resources available to them through the Training and Education Fund.

Thanks to our CNA Training Hub, our Nurse Aide Training Center's 10th cohort of nurse aide trainees is at the halfway mark of their coursework! These future CNAs are learning the crucial work involved in caring for others. We're looking forward to celebrating them further when they graduate later next month!

For the last few days, the entire Training Fund team has gathered in Pittsburgh to talk about how we can help make healthcare workers’ lives and work better. We’re discussing the pitfalls facing the long term care industry and learning about the opportunities we have to grow and improve.

We also spent some time making small bouquets for residents in two of the new homes that have joined the fund as well as some swag baskets for staff at those facilities!

It’s Disability Pride Month, when we celebrate the disability community and mark the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

At the Training Fund, we’re dedicated to transforming our healthcare system through quality training and good jobs for the caregivers who persons living with a disability rely on. We want to improve care in our communities and ensure that every person with a disability can enjoy full inclusion in everyday life. Happy Disability Pride!
