Today at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, we remember the thousands of lives lost and impacted by the tragedy that befell our nation on Sept. 11, 2001.

We have the great privilege of preparing first responders in their paths of service through our Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center. We know the sacrifice that firefighters, police officers, EMS and medical professionals and thousands of others make to serve our communities and keep us safe, and it is our distinct honor to help train the next generation of heroes.

HACC scholarship applications are open!

“As a single mother, this support truly means more than words can express,” said Tiffany, a scholarship recipient. “Receiving this award will fully cover my spring tuition, allowing me to reduce my work hours and focus on my rigorous academic classes. This scholarship not only eases the financial burden of continuing my education, but it also brings me one step closer to achieving my goals for myself and my family.”
