Last week, our campers stepped into the world of engineering and innovation! ๐๏ธ
They explored how engineers use imagination, problem-solving and teamwork to design and build the structures that shape our world.
Some of our favorite moments included:
๐ Building bridges with marshmallows and spaghetti.
โป๏ธ Building cities out of recycled materials. Our campers especially loved using Chompsaws provided by the Capital Area Intermediate Unit!
๐ฅโฌ๏ธ Egg drop experiment where they learned how to plan, test and improve designs to prevent the eggs from cracking!
Thank you to our campers, families, staff, volunteers and community partners: The Hershey Company, M&T Bank Foundation, Chick-fil-A Lindle Road and the Anne M. & Philip H. Glatfelter III Family Foundation

WOW! One of our Keystone Curious students from Susquenita High School, Zoe Snyder, was selected as an honorable mention in the NPR Student Podcast Challenge! ๐๐ง
Researched, written and produced by Zoe and her 4th grade partner Rebecca, "Pickett's Charge" explains how soldiers marched across an open field during the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War. Listeners learn who was involved, how devastating the battle was for soldiers and families and why Gettysburg was so important to Pennsylvania.
