In anything we learn, a solid understanding must happen for us to feel confident in what we do. This understanding is a step by step process. Munro Tutoring Services, LLC is committed to helping a child learn the basic skills necessary for that child to move forward, to experience success and confidence. This commitment includes providing tools and ideas to the parents that support the child’s lea
rning. Every child has the potential to be successful in education. Tutoring appointments will take place in the child’s home and include the parents’ participation. This allows parents the opportunity to observe teaching techniques used during the session. Parents and tutor will design a plan using techniques based on Montessori* teaching methods. Parents will use this plan to guide the child’s learning process outside of the tutoring session. *Brief explanation about “Montessori”:
The Montessori method is based on a philosophy of education developed by Maria Montessori, a physician and teacher. Through her observations of children, she discovered that simply by living, children learn from their environment...But what they learn depends greatly on their teachers, experiences and environment.”
The role of the Montessori teacher is to “provide and demonstrate learning materials and support children’s learning.”
