School is approaching fast! We had a fun time out in the community today giving away FREE school supplies 📚🎒

Behind the scenes of research… where things can look a little silly for a reason 😂🔬

Depending on a child’s age, we may bring out a costume during the Strange Situation to introduce something new and unexpected into their environment. This gives us another opportunity to observe temperament, like whether they’re quick to approach something unfamiliar, prefer to hang back and observe, or look to their caregiver before deciding how to respond.

Those little reactions can help us better understand the different ways children experience and respond to the world around them. 🧠💚

But first, the research team has to make sure the costume is Strange Situation approved 😂
