🐾 Scout's Story ❤️

Scout, our "bestest worst boy," has been part of our family since 2016 after we adopted him through American Belgian Malinois Rescue. He went on to become a DockDog, DiscDog, and Worlds qualifier, living life to the fullest.

In 2023, Scout was diagnosed with Wobbler's Disease, a degenerative condition affecting his neck. As his condition worsened, he underwent a groundbreaking, seven-hour surgery using custom 3D-printed implants designed specifically for his spine. Even after multiple MRIs, surgery, medications, and rehabilitation, Scout never lost his determination—and today, at 11½ years old, he's happily enjoying retirement.

The financial burden of his care was overwhelming, even with pet insurance. That's when The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation, Inc. stepped in to help. Their support eased the stress of mounting medical bills and allowed us to focus on what mattered most—helping Scout recover.
