Join us for A Taste of the Arts—An Evening of Food, Creativity, and Community on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at The Willows at Ashcombe Mansion.

This inspiring night will celebrate the incredible creativity of CASA students and alumni through performances and presentations in music, dance, theater, visual art, creative writing, film, and more.

Due to the expected inclement weather, CASA will be dismissing early at 12:50 PM.

If a student’s district of residence is also dismissing early, they will be dismissed when their bus arrives.  Parents may pick up their student(s) as early as 12:50 this afternoon.

Students whose school district is not dismissing early will remain at CASA under our supervision for their normal transportation schedule.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Mazis to CASA on March 9, where he delivered a guest lecture for our 11th and 12th grade students. A professor of philosophy with more than three decades of teaching and writing experience, Dr. Mazis shared insights from his work and engaged students in thoughtful conversation.

Dr. Mazis specializes in phenomenology and contemporary philosophy, with interests that span philosophy of art, ecology, technology, Buddhism, Taoism, and interdisciplinary humanities. He has published extensively on topics such as emotion, imagination, memory, embodiment, gender, and the relationships between humans, animals, and technology. He is an accomplished author and poet.

This year’s CASALive! theme touches on many of the concepts that Dr. Mazis shared with our students. CASA is grateful for his visit and lecture on the importance of the arts and the work of artists.

Our talented students took the stage last night for opening night of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and it was a fantastic start to the weekend!

Performances continue tonight through Sunday.
