🏫❤️ Back to School Night was a success!

Thank you to all of the wonderful grown-ups who joined us for Back to School Night! We loved welcoming you into our classrooms, sharing a glimpse of what learning looks like each day, and most of all, getting the opportunity to connect with the people who mean so much to our students. 🥰

We truly value the partnership between school and home, and nights like this remind us what a special community we have. Thank you for taking the time to be here and for trusting us with your children each day. ❤️

Our second graders are kicking off the year by thinking about something important: What kind of classroom do we want to be part of? ❤️

Together, students shared their hopes and dreams for the school year and worked together to create their classroom expectations and rules. 📚✨

As a Responsive Classroom school, we believe that social-emotional learning and academic learning go hand in hand. We intentionally build a classroom community where students feel safe, known, respected, and ready to learn. Through morning meetings, shared expectations, collaborative activities, and explicit teaching of social and emotional skills, students learn not only what to do, but why it matters.

By giving students a voice in their classroom expectations, we’re helping them take ownership of their learning community from day one. 🥰

Here’s to a year filled with big hopes, big dreams, and an even bigger sense of community! 🌟🍎

🎒✏️ Kindergarten Supply Bootcamp: COMPLETE! 🖍️✂️

Our kindergarteners have officially made it through Supply Bootcamp! 🫡 This first week back, we learned all about our classroom supplies — where they live, how to use them, when we need them, and (very importantly 😉) how to take care of them!

Along the way, we’ve been busy learning the lay of the land in our classrooms and around our school, practicing routines, making new friends, and getting comfortable in our new kindergarten home. ❤️ Successful week 1!

👟❤️ Learning Together, One Step (and Knot!) at a Time!

Our third graders spent some time helping our first graders practice a very important skill ✨ tying their shoes! 🎀👟

We love seeing our older students step into leadership roles while our younger students learn from and connect with their schoolmates. This kind of cross-age learning is about so much more than tying shoes… it builds confidence, collaboration, kindness, and a strong sense of community. 🥰

This award means so much because it came from the families we love and serve. We love our community 🤍

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Saint Stephen’s opened its doors to the people who were caught in the storms. Those who took shelter within our walls expressed their deep gratitude for the welcome and charity they received.

Saint Stephen’s continues to carry out its mission and welcomes those in need.

We continue to give thanks to God for our two hundred years of service in our capital.
